Pupil Premium Allocation for 2016-2017: 13,780

We use the pupil premium allocation to provide support for children who are not making expected progress and are therefore falling behind in Reading, Writing and Mathematics. When establishing the children who are entitled for this support, Looked After Children (LAC), Free School Meal entitlement (FSM) and Special Educational Needs (SEND) are all taken into consideration.

The support takes the form of the following:

  • Wave 2 (Working in small groups) structured intervention programs
  • Wave 3 (individual support addressing specific needs) intervention
  • Individualised Well Being Programme
These will be provided by a Teacher, Teaching Assistant or Well being Mentors.

The impact of the 2015/16 allocation is that all children who received support made progress towards their targets, with a large percentage now attaining at the level they should be at based on their prior attainment.
