Pupil Premium

We use the pupil premium allocation to provide support for children who are not making expected progress and are therefore falling behind in Reading, Writing and Mathematics. When establishing the children who are entitled for this support, Looked After Children (LAC), Free School Meal entitlement (FSM) and Special Educational Needs (SEND) are all taken into consideration.

It is our intention that, in the first instance, all children are provided quality first teaching by our class teachers, throughout the school day. This is Wave 1 of our approach.

Where additional support is needed, the support takes the form of the following:

  • Wave 2 (Working in small groups) structured intervention programs
  • Wave 3 (individual support addressing specific needs) intervention
  • Individualised Well Being Programme
These will be provided by a Teacher, Teaching Assistant or Well being Mentors.
