St. Paul's - Kutus, Kenya
The most recent visit to Kenya was during half-term week in February 2018 when Mr. Kempster visited St. Paul's. It was a fantastic opportunity to further strengthen our partnership and it provided children in both schools with a valuable insight in to each others' way of life. The children at St. Paul's were very excited to see them both, especially Mr. Evans who was returning for his 5th visit. They continued on the work that had been started with our children, focussing on the United Nation's Global Goal Number 2 - Zero Hunger. The children of St. Paul's were astounded to learn that we have hunger here in the UK and our children were equally as interested to learn that not all 'African' children go hungry. We also looked at the types of things both sets of children like to do in their spare time and read stories and played games with the younger children. These visits are extremely enriching and rewarding for the children and staff in both schools and we are grateful to the British Council for funding the project.
